Today, the power of engines is considerable and, certainly, higher in comparison with campers of 10 or 15 years ago.

New engines are less polluting and consume less fuel.

A camper with 130-150 HP can go "at high speed", but it is very useful to utilise its power to travel nimbly.
It is not wise to drive a motor caravan or motor home fast because of the length of the vehicle, the wide side surfaces and loads that are often not balanced.

The right speed of a vehicle depend on its mass, on load disposition and kind of load (half full water tank or moving people) too.

The optimum speed of a motor caravan is among 90-100 and 110 Km/h.
Camper for its characteristics (see technique) can have a higher cruising speed.
